Pineta : Separated from Sabbiadoro by groves of pine trees lies the first habitual area of Lignano that is remarkably practicable.The area was designed by the architect Marcello D'Olivio. The streets form a spiral and lead to the center of the district. This district is rich in green areas, and consists of fairly low buildings. The public parc is a unique site named after Ernest Hemingway who also once was a visitor in Lignano.

Sabbiadoro : In the sixties, a growth in the building sector created a modern city with skyscrapers, rooms for conferences and a wide array of shopping and culinary opportunities.The restaurants, bars, and shops stretch out on one stretch, and in the evening, this area becomes a 4km long pedestrian zone filled with lights and voices until deep into the night.
